



1. Abide by the Constitution and Bylaws of the Doberman Pinscher Alliance of
America, American Kennel Club and the National Kennel Club.
2. To work together to dispel condemnation and discrimination of the White and
White factored Doberman Pinschers based solely on color.
3. To strive to develop ALL Doberman Pinschers, including White and White
Factoreds, to be as close as possible to the Accepted Standard for the breed.
4. To promote and encourage the testing of ALL Doberman Pinschers for
genetically transmitted diseases such as, but not limited to, von Willebrands Disease,
Hip Dysplasia, and Cardiomyopathy, with the goal to eradicate them from the
Doberman Pinscher breed.
5. All dogs offered at stud shall not be bred prior to one (1) year of age and shall be
in good health and free from communicable diseases and disqualifying faults. (As
described in the accepted standard). Any bitch accepted for stud service must be at least
18 months old, in good health, free from communicable diseases and disqualifying
faults. (As described in the accepted standard).
6. No bitch shall have more than one (1) litter per year (litter is defined as 2 or more
puppies that reach the age of 8 weeks) or be bred prior to 18 months of age. She
should be free from communicable diseases and disqualifying faults. (As described in
the accepted standard).
7. To encourage members to take responsibility for the puppies that are produced by
providing, and honoring, written health, temperament, and replacement guarantees, and
by using spay/neuter contracts. No puppies will be sold to puppy brokers, pet shops, or
puppy mills nor agents thereof.
8. No dogs will be bred for commercial reasons only. All breedings should be done
with the intention of that particular breeding improving the breed.
9. Honestly evaluate the quality of all Doberman Pinschers sold regardless of color.
10. To promote the showing of ALL Doberman Pinschers, including White and White
Factoreds, in show matches, AKC and NKC shows and events focusing on physical
ability, obedience, beauty, and intelligence, THE TOTAL DOBERMAN.
11. To conduct ourselves as members of the DPAA with good sportsman like conduct
at all times.
12. To support the DPAA, the Doberman Pinscher, and the White and White Factored
Doberman Pinschers in it’s efforts to gain recognition and acceptance.
13. Any breach of the COE can be brought before the Board of Directors and may
result in a fine and / or expulsion from the club.
